CHARITY EVENTS -

MurderBall Rugby holds different annual events for wheelchair rugby charity, flyers will be posted on the home page and in the box on the right 'Our current events'. These include wheelchair rugby tournament days and fundraising dinners.

The events are open for participation to anyone or company and all monies raised go to providing vital funds for grass roots wheelchair rugby clubs, who are run by volunteers an fundraising.

The Murderball Rugby Tournament is a one day wheelchair rugby tournament and fundraiser dinner (sometimes on seperate days) raising money for wheelchair rugby. 8 teams of able bodied and disabled players battle it out on court where the winners take all. Wheelchair rugby is great fun as the chairs collide but there is no physical contact so the £3,000 chairs provided for you take a lot of the impact. Both men and women can play together. Companies passionate about rugby or wheelchair rugby can enter their squads of up to 10 (There are 4 people on court in chairs at any one time with rolling subs) to play against able bodied ex rugby internationals as well as wheelchair rugby players from English clubs.

CORPORATE EVENTS - (see Innovision example flyer, right)

Murderball Rugby also holds events for companies and organisations wishing to provide a completely out of the box team building day, or corporate social event, also suitablle for schools and colleges.

Wheelchair rugby is played in very special rugby chairs that are designed and built for the sport – they cost in excess of £2500 each and are built for full contact game play. Every effort of course is taken to ensure there are no injuries but all participants who take part do so at their own risk, the nature of MurderBall is full contact sport so injuries can happen especially when safety instructions are not followed.
